Biography
Mitchell Jacobs, a Founding Partner of the Firm, serves as co-managing partner of Cleary Giacobbe Alfieri Jacobs, wherein he manages much of the firm’s litigation, particularly in the areas of employment litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury, real estate litigation and probate litigation. He serves as general counsel to the Monmouth County Joint Insurance Fund, Brookdale Community College, the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority and the Borough of Rumson. He also serves as defense counsel to several public insurance funds and private insurance carriers. Mitch focuses his practice in the areas of employment-related lawsuits, including discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment, enforcement of restrictive covenants, wage and hour violations, and wrongful discharge in federal and state courts. He also represents private businesses employers with their employment needs, which includes, but is not limited to, day to day advice on employment issues, separation and termination agreements and employee contracts. He is also a frequent lecturer and provider of training on numerous employment issues, including discrimination, hostile work environment, whistle-blowing, and equal pay.
