Cleary Giacobbe Alfieri Jacobs, LLC is pleased to announce that Esther Suarez has joined the Firm as Partner following a distinguished career that includes service as New Jersey Superior Court Judge, Hudson County Prosecutor, Bergen County Counsel, Hoboken Corporation Counsel, and private practice attorney.

Prosecutor Suarez made history as the first woman and the first Hispanic to serve as Hudson County Prosecutor. During her tenure, she spearheaded sweeping reforms and reshaped key areas of law enforcement. She launched an in-house DNA laboratory to eliminate backlogs and improve investigative success, as well as a cutting-edge cybersecurity unit for digital forensics. She also established multiple regional units, including the Collision Investigation, Arson Task Force, and SWAT, which modernized public safety throughout the county.

Esther Suarez will serve as Chair of the Firm’s White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice. In addition, she will maintain an active practice in the area of labor and employment law.
