Cleary Giacobbe Alfieri Jacobs, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group in 2025:
Denis F. Driscoll is a seasoned trial attorney with over 34 years of experience and is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He represents clients in all areas of complex civil liability, including professional liability, product liability, and general liability claims. His practice area also includes land use, municipal defense, white collar crimes, and criminal defense. Denis is a recognized authority in Title 59 matters, regularly defending municipalities throughout New Jersey.
A former Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, Denis has extensive experience defending individuals charged with serious criminal offenses, including white-collar crimes. He was promoted to Senior Trial Assistant during his tenure, where he handled homicides and major offenses within the Sex Crimes Unit. Before transitioning to private practice, he lectured at the New York State Police Academy, training new recruits. Today, he continues to teach, regularly presenting criminal law topics for New Jersey Continuing Legal Education. He has had decisions published arising out of matters prosecuted before the State of New York Supreme Court and the State of New Jersey Superior Court.
Denis has served as Municipal Prosecutor in numerous municipalities, including Denville/Mountain Lakes, Montville, Netcong, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Victory Gardens, and Ridgefield. He currently serves as Public Defender for the Township of Randolph and the Town of Dover.
May H. Wedlund is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, focusing on civil litigation with a concentration in Title 59 tort claims and civil rights matters. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Class of 2005), May is a veteran of the Global War on Terror and served eight years on active duty as a Navy Supply Officer.
Before joining the firm, May practiced law with the Rutgers Law Associates Fellowship Program and gained additional experience at boutique law firms in Union County and Morris County, New Jersey.
